This table displays the version of Requirement Yogi to use with the version of Confluence and Jira.
Our guideline: In the past, we’ve supported LTS versions of Confluence and Jira for 2 years (two LTS versions). In 2024, we may reduce to one LTS version and require Java 17, to help us with upgrade challenges (including: Offering Java 17 for our employees, supporting Confluence 9.0, using more modern libraries, and removing libraries which are now supported natively by Java). As seen in the table below, we’ve made our best to limit the impact.
Confluence version | RY versions | Java version | Published | End of support |
---|---|---|---|---|
Confluence 9.0 | 3.9–present | Dropping support for Java 11[1] | Mid-2024 ? | Mid-2026 |
Confluence 8.9 | 3.9—present | Java 17 / 11 | March 2024 | (Non-LTS) |
Confluence 8.8 | 3.7.5—3.8.x | Java 17 / 11 | February 2024 | (Non-LTS) |
Confluence 8.7 | 3.6.13—3.8.x | Java 17 / 11 | December 2023 | (Non-LTS) |
Confluence 8.5 LTS | 3.6.0—3.8.x | Java 17 / 11 | August 2023 | August 2025 |
Confluence 8.0 | 3.4.9—3.8.x | Java 17 / 11 | November 2022 | (Non-LTS) |
Confluence 7.20 | 3.4.6—3.8.x[2] | Java 17 / 11 / 8 | October 2022 | March 2024[2] |
Confluence 7.19 LTS | 3.3.10—3.8.x[2] | Java 17 / 11 / 8 | July 2022 | March 2024[2] |
Confluence 7.13 LTS | 2.6.12—3.5.8 | Java 17 / 11 / 8 | August 2021 | August 2023 |
[2] Requirement Yogi 3.9 still works with Confluence 7.19-9.0, but we’re currently working on stability issues. To avoid deploying 3.9 for everyone, we’ve marked it for Confluence 8.6+ only in the metadata.
